The boys at the pumpkin farm

Closing out Autumn

October 18th, 2010 by matt

One couldn’t ask for nicer October weather.  The kids got to go in the hot tub one last time, even with Max!

Will really dug into some comfort food.  What a maniac!

I even got the crew of boys to help rake with the ladies went out on errands!

Of course more leaves have piled up, hopefully I can enlist them again.  Max and Will love jumping into the leaf piles, I’m pretty sure that is universal.

We have enjoyed a couple of bonfires at Grandpa Mark’s.  Here are the little boys planted in their chairs in front of the fire.

Between Companies

October 18th, 2010 by matt

I’m between one company and another, but in my time I got to take the little boys with me for errands one day.  We stopped at a park they had never been to.  The weather has been so wonderful this fall!

We’ll probably go back to Zeunert park next year.

Outside is best

The boys team up on the slide at times.  Its nice when they play together.

Here is Will showing off another crazy guy face.

Here is a beautiful shot of Grace watching the slide madness.  She is our in house kid watcher and future babysitter.

Max posed for a couple of nice shots as well.

And a little less serious.

Will conquers the slide

October 18th, 2010 by matt

Will has loved the slide all summer but has been very cautious about going down by himself.

You can see in this sequence of events that Will still isn’t 100% confident in going down the slide solo.  Our little guy can do it but sometimes the landing gets a little rough and he has to take a break.  He’s learning to use his feet to slow himself down.  Smart.

Tree Climbing

October 18th, 2010 by matt

We’ve got trees and the kids love climbing them.  Here is Grace pausing on a recently downed tree over our path.

Ben is hiding on the top of this tree in the brush.  He likes to avoid the camera!

First Day of School

Gosh, I haven’t been good about updating.  Sorry!  Here is Ben and Grace’s first day of school.

Ben is in 4th grade and Grace is in 3rd grade.  Yes, they are growing up quickly.
