Summer Flashback

December 31st, 2008 by matt

Now that I’ve got some video out here, I couldn’t resist sharing this clip from this summer.  Max’s shouting at that age was a great precursor for how much that boy yells now.

Cruisin’ with a chair

December 31st, 2008 by matt

Here is a video of Max having some fun pushing around a kitchen chair.  I had to dust off my MiniDV camcorder and kino video editor and try some new WordPress plugins but I think it should work.

Christmas Decor

December 22nd, 2008 by sarah

In between snow storms, Sarah decided it would be nice to have at least some Christmas decorations up on the house.  Most of the decorations came from our yard, or that of our friends, it’s one of those nice benefits to living in the country.

Snow can be fun

December 21st, 2008 by matt

The older kids have been enjoying our new snow on the days the wind chill has been above zero.  Here they are on top of the snow pile outside of our garage.

And another picture of them after jumping off the other side of the same snowpile.

They love playing outside year round.  Ben has been helping with shoveling while I run the snowblower.  He has been quite the assistant and is proud of his work.

Its Snowing Already

December 10th, 2008 by matt

December has been a tad on the snowy side again this year.  We’re thankful for our plow guy as he’s visited us many times already.  I hope to get some good winter photos with my new tripod but here is a quick shot of our driveway.

Natalie’s Surprise Birthday Party

December 10th, 2008 by matt

Sarah threw a surprise birthday party for Natalie at the Social.  The turnout was great and fun times were had by all.  Here is a shot from the girl table.

We also flew in Jake as a surprise to everyone, even the kids.  Here he is making his grand entrance.

We’ll see Jake again over Christmas!

Christmas Village in Irvine Park

December 1st, 2008 by matt

While visiting the grandparents, we made a trip to Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls to see the annual Christmas Village.  It was impressive!  We got out of our cars and walked around to enjoy the lights and displays up close.

Here is a shot of Grace and Grandpa posing in front of one of the displays.  Ben was running around too quickly to show up in the picture.

We packed up and headed to Marsh Miller lake to spend Thanksgiving with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Nate.  We all had a great time in the sauna, eating delicious food, riding the ATV and even playing out on the ice.  Here is a picture of Max ready to go for a walk through the woods.

Max could barely move but he loved going outside.  He had his PJs on under all those layers.  He stayed warm; a great way to go for a walk!
